Vaccinations
A pet’s yearly vaccination is frequently the only time our pets are examined by a vet. This is why it is so important that the vaccination is preceded by a thorough clinical examination. Prior to the vaccination your pet will be checked from nose to tail and you will be asked questions regarding your pet’s health and well being.
Health check-ups
Our pets are living longer and longer. Outwardly our pets don’t appear to change but as their bodies age the function of their internal organs diminishes. In order to keep our beloved furry companions healthy and happy as long as possible it is important to find out when an organ is struggling before it starts to fail. This can be done by a very simple blood test. Based on the blood test we can adjust the pet’s diet or prescribe medication.
Sick or injured pet visits
Has your cat come home with a wound? Is your dog limping? Is your pet suffering from diarrhea or vomiting? Whatever your concern is regarding your pet, give us a call. We can advise you over the phone and if necessary make an appointment for a consultation.
Managing chronic conditions
If your pet suffers from a chronic condition such as diabetes or a heart condition etc, it can be necessary to have regular check ups at the vet clinic. It can be very stressful for an animal and the owner to have to go back and forth to the clinic. We can come to you and keep your pet healthy in the comfort of your home.
Neutering
Most sterilisations require the safety and equipment of a veterinary clinic. However a cat castration is a relatively quick and simple procedure which can be performed at home.
Compassionate euthanasia
Watching a beloved pet grow old and struggle with its day to day activities can be a very difficult and painful thing to experience. Sometimes it's clear to the owner that a pet’s time has come. However frequently a pet owner can feel very uncertain about this. We are here to help and advise you. Should you decide that it's time to say goodbye then this can be done at home peacefully and compassionately in the surroundings you and your pet feel most comfortable.
Pet passports and documents for travel
If you plan to take your pet abroad it will need to have a pet passport, a microchip and a rabies vaccination. Depending on the travel destination there can be further requirements. I can help you with this.
